Malachite And Blue Kyanite Pendant
Here at Bazaar we are known for our original and unique designs, although many will share some characteristics no two are ever the same. This pendant has a strong sence of balance and equality. A shape to represent the seasons, the four corners of the compass, or the four elements. Pear shaped cabochon cut malachite gems invert to the centre where sits a rich and regal blue kyanite.
Malachite takes its name from the Greek word malakos, meaning soft. While this stone holds much strength and is a powerful protection stone it is also a heart opener which may be why the Greeks gave it such a gentle title. On to blue kyanite, another word of Greek origin from kyanos meaning blue, although this stone can also be green. It is believed to promote calm and serenity, and is great stone for communication.

Surrounded by the stones she designs these totally unique pieces, allowing the colours and shapes of the gems to take the lead. These one off creations are then set in silver by some of the most skilled silversmiths in the trade. Jo has been working with some of the families in this process for over 25 years.
