Turquoise Patchwork Toran

One Off Patchwork Torans.
Measuring approximately 100cm x 30cm.
In India these were orginally made to hang above doorways to welcome guests in, particularly at Weddings . These joyful Torans look great above a window or bed.
Handmade in the Rajasthani desert out of recycled materials, from a family Jo has been working with for over 20 years.
The men in the family select the patches and paste them down on to the backing cloth with gum, the embroidery is then handed to the women of the family who hand stitch the patches on to the backing.
